1. Sand

- For best results, use river sand.

- Move out the base of each stems (about an inch).

- You need a box to drying the flowers, fill it with sand.

- Store in a well ventilated place for 5 days.

- After 5 days, check the flowers. If not too dry, add more sand on the flower petals and store again for one or two days.

2. Glycerin

- You can find glycerin liquid product specially made to preserving flowers at a craft store.

- Gently clean the flowers from dust or debris, take away all imperfect petals and leaves.

- Press the stems about 2 inches from the cut ends. Use pair of pliers or hammer for this.

- Put the cut ends into glycerin at least for 3 weeks.

- Remove the flowers when they are not brittle and dry.

3. Pressing

- Firstly, prepare the materials you will need for pressing: newspaper, blotting papers, background paper (use construction paper for best result), tweezers, glue and big heavy book (phone book).

- Split the leaves and mosses, attach the flowers with finger and thumb.

- Place flowers in the background paper, use tweezers to set the tiny flowers.

- After set up, place the background paper between the blotting papers.

- And then put the package between 2 sheets of newspaper.

- Place the flower package on flat surface and put the big heavy book on the top.

- Leave them for 2 weeks.

- Take them out and see the final result. You can place the Preserving Wedding Flowers in a scrapbook or frame them.
